Download it once and read it on your Kindle device, PC, phones or tablets. this book sets the stage for a biblical 'dating friendship' that results in marriage. the sections about sex and the gospel are very well thought out and helpful in understanding the why and how of purity. although, since it is so different than our culture’s view of dating, i would like to see a little more clarity and practical examples of how to have a “dating friendship” rather than a “dating relationship. our society puts too much emphasis and weight on dating relationships. pastors gerald hiestand and jay thomas counteract this problem with their paradigm-shifting view of purity and relationships—a view that challenges even the basic assumptions of evangelical subculture. this will still be my go-to book on the subject, but i'll have to supplement those two areas with something else. and one last word about timing: if things work out and you get engaged, keep your engagement short. too many other authors that i've read seem to start their discussion and reasoning on this topic based off of personal anecdotes, or slippery-slope arguments. i feel like now i have the true perspective of sex and relationships in my mind.

it is my belief that by reading this book you will have lost nothing and gained much. as for the dating parts of the book, i love the general principle behind their main points, but i'm not sure about all of the implications.
